Road Trip

Road Trip

Title - Road Trip
My Admission - $6.00
One Line Review - Animal House it's not but it's damn funny.

Review - "How long have you been going to this college?" "8 years."

Sound familiar?  Actor Tom Green ponders this question as he gives a tour of Ithaca College to some potential freshman and their parents.  Green plays Barry, a professional student in the Blutoski vein but with a few more personnel skills (not likely).  Barry's good friend Josh (Breckin Meyer, man this guy looks like Bill Maher) has been dating the same girl since he was 5.  When it came time for college Josh went to Ithaca and his girlfriend went to college in Austin; their first major separation.  The crux here is that Josh's, truly dangerous, friend E.L. (Sean W. Scott) has convinced Josh that it's not cheating if you're in different area codes and so convinces Josh to bed down with the lovely, Beth (Amy Smart).  In a truly juvenile scene Beth decides to interview Josh with his video camera and she quickly disrobes and films the pair consummating their new relationship.  The next morning Josh finds that his roommate Rubin (Paulo Costanzo) has inadvertently mailed the sex tape to Josh's girlfriend in Austin.

"There's only one thing we can do."

"What's that?"

"Road Trip!"

The ensuing adventure is collegic/adolescent humor at some of it's funniest.

Road trip is chock full of young talent, none of whom feel misused or wasted (a rarity) and the music includes a cool sing along with Twisted Sister's: "I Wanna Rock".  I can't say how much your girlfriend's or wives will like it but I love the ones that do.  Who else would call in a bomb threat to protect my G.P.A.?  My woman...That's who.
